Kakehashi is a tactical duel game for 2 players, in which two powerful Yokais face off on a narrow bridge to prove who has the greatest mastery over Chi. In fast-paced matches filled with strategic decisions, every move can bring your opponent closer to victory... or send them falling into the abyss.
Each turn, both players simultaneously choose a magic tile, revealing it only at the right moment. The number on the tile determines the activation order, creating an interesting dilemma: should you act first, or wait and respond to your opponent’s actions? In addition, each tile features two possible spells, allowing you to adapt your strategy to the situation on the board.
Kakehashi’s greatest strength lies in its combo system. As new spells are placed on the field, they can enhance existing effects, expanding attacks, movement, and special abilities. Knowing how to plan your combos while disrupting your opponent’s is essential to mastering the bridge and claiming victory.
The game’s eight spells offer completely different playstyles, allowing players to push their opponents, manipulate the bridge itself, create abysses, summon an elemental dragon, levitate, freeze, enhance their powers, and much more. This variety makes every confrontation unique and highly replayable.
For those looking for even greater depth, Kakehashi includes expansions integrated into the base game, adding Yokais with unique abilities and Epic Landscapes that alter the rules of each round, as well as a solo mode with its own AI system.
Easy to learn yet packed with meaningful decisions, Kakehashi combines game reading, anticipation, positioning, and resource management in an intense duel where every choice can completely change the course of the battle.
