Deathgrip Dungeon is a solo card game of managing dwindling resources against impossible odds, played entirely in your hand. There's no table, no setup, no sprawl. You take on the role of a lone adventurer descending through a dungeon full of monsters and traps, carefully weighing which gear to use, and when.
Every encounter has a base difficulty you can see, but its true difficulty is shaped by what comes next. To overcome an encounter, you'll commit equipment from your pack. Commit too little, and you'll be crushed. Commit too much, and you've wasted resources that you'll need later. Smart play means anticipating what's ahead, taking calculated risks, and using the right tools at the right moment.
Clear an encounter and you'll be rewarded with valuable loot: enough to keep you going, but never enough to feel safe. The dungeon is full of treasures, but only for those who survive long enough to claim them. Every room is a risk-management puzzle: Spend just enough to win, save just enough to keep going. Clever adventurers will be wary of encounters they haven't yet seen, and empowered by the knowledge of what has already been overcome.
You win by reaching the end of the dungeon and escaping with your life. You lose if your gear runs out before the dungeon does.
