In ZENSO, the goal is for each player to create the most harmonious Japanese garden, the most Zen, and the one most in keeping with the Wabi-Sabi philosophy,
which advocates a return to simplicity and a peaceful, uncluttered lifestyle that has a positive influence on one’s existence.
Each turn consists of two main stages. Firstly, you choose a Garden card from those available. In doing so, you can earn resources, such as stones, ensōs or lanterns. Secondly, you place the card you have collected: it must cover at least one square of your garden. Arrange your garden as best you can to try and meet the objectives you can achieve and confirm during the third, optional stage of your turn.
It’s up to you to combine the different types of landscapes, scenery and soothing lanterns in the best possible way to create the most perfect garden you can. Simple, zen and thoughtful!
