In Vampires - Jeux nocturnes, each player leads a vampire clan hunting through the city over the course of a single night. A game lasts three confrontations, and the winner is the player who captures the most humans before dawn.
Each round, players secretly prepare up to two attack groups, assigning vampires and ghouls to different districts while using decoys to disguise their intentions. Districts are then revealed one by one, and conflicts are resolved in order. City effects, clan powers, vampire abilities, and ghoul captures all interact to create a tense tactical contest built on bluffing, timing, and priority management.
The core system revolves around rank resolution, hidden deployment, and Aura priority cards used to break ties and decide key effects during confrontations. Different cities and clans introduce asymmetrical powers, giving each game a distinct rhythm and style of play.
The base game includes vampire cards, ghoul cards, district tokens, human tokens, city district boards, clan boards, and Aura cards.
