After many centuries, the Kingdom of the Winged Dragons has opened its gates. The Sages proclaim far and wide: “The Throne awaits our future King or Queen! Only those who can overcome the perils of the skies will be able to claim the crown!” It is time for the young dragons to take flight and embark on an adventure. They must navigate capricious currents, withstand merciless storms, and explore the sanctuaries of ancient floating islands, all in order to be the first to claim the throne. May the winds blow in your favor, and may the experiences of your journey make you a wise sovereign!
Trono de Dragones is a game for 2 to 4 players, recommended for ages 10 and up, with games lasting between 20 and 40 minutes. In it, players take on the roles of young dragons who will soar through the skies, striving to be the first to reach the Kingdom of the Dragons, claim the throne, and win the game. To achieve this, they must roll dice at the beginning of each turn, which will allow them to perform different actions, such as moving, exploring new territories, clearing the skies, and even sabotaging the plans of other dragons. They can also draw magic from the places they visit, as well as find powerful relics from an ancient kingdom, which will grant them powerful permanent abilities. They must be quick, but also cunning on their journey!
Each turn, players must roll dice, which will allow them to perform up to two actions per turn.
These actions are:
- Explore the skies, adding tiles to the board with different types of terrain.
- Collect, drawing cards from the deck corresponding to the color of the tile they are on.
- Move, traveling to spaces on tiles they have already explored.
- Blow, displacing storm tokens (which slow movement) and even rival dragons.
- Trick, which allows you to look at and snatch cards from other players' hands.
The more dice with the same face that you roll, the more powerful the corresponding action will be. Dragons have magic potions that allow them to reroll dice to improve their roll, but these are only replenished by visiting the shrines on the Floating Island tiles.
In addition, they can play Magic cards, with instant effects, and Relic cards, which grant permanent benefits to the dragon that equips them.
Dragons must move quickly but also manage their plays strategically, because the first player to reach the Castle will be crowned king and win the game.
