The Hedgies is a quick and light family board game where players help hungry hedgehogs gather food before winter returns. On each turn, players explore the wilderness, perform three actions such as moving their hedgehog, collecting food, fulfilling objectives, or interacting with other hedgehogs. As the deck of food cards diminishes, resource management and tactical choices become essential.

Players score points from collected food, completed objectives, and other bonuses. The game ends when all food cards have been revealed and resolved, and the player with the highest score wins. The rules include both a simple version for young children and extended rules that add depth for older players.
