Svarog's Curse is a competitive card-driven strategy game inspired by Slavic mythology. Long ago, the celestial blacksmith Svarog forged the three realms — Prav, Yav, and Nav — and maintained their balance. When he abandoned his divine forge, the harmony between worlds collapsed. The gods now compete to claim the empty throne, choosing mortal champions to fight in their stead.
In the game, players take the role of these chosen disciples. Moving across a grid of mystical locations, they scout hidden cards, reveal powerful relics, recruit legendary heroes, and fight with dangerous monsters. Each card can grant Might Points, powerful effects, or risky Curse Points that may later reduce other player's final score.
During their turns, players spend action points to move between locations, scout hidden cards, reveal them, and claim valuable heroes, artifacts, or monsters. Monsters may require discarding claimed artifacts and heroes but increase a player's Curse Points, creating a risk–reward balance throughout the game.
The game ends when the world begins to collapse and the final round is triggered. Players then calculate their Might Points and apply penalties based on Curse Points. The player with the highest final score becomes the champion of the gods and ascends to shape the fate of the three realms.
