Spore-adic! is a colorful, competitive token placement game for 2-6 players where each player attempts to score the most points by taking over as much of the Garden (game board) as possible.
Each turn you'll draw a card and can play up to two cards, targeting a player once per turn (including yourself). Some cards have a cost which is paid for from your token supply. There are three types of cards:
- Blue Cards: can be played on yourself
- Red Cards: can be played on others
- Black Cards: can be played on anyone
After playing cards, it's time to grow! You get 4 Growth Points to spend every turn, allowing you to grow (place on the board) mushroom and colony tokens. Some cards may add or remove your available growth points for that turn. During the growth phase, players can create rings of 1-3 empty spaces on the board called "Fairy Rings." This allows them to draw an additional card, and the empty spaces in a ring at the end of the game are will be worth additional points.
If you have more than 3 cards in your hand at the end of your turn you discard down to 3. If any of your mushroom chains get disconnected, there's a wilting mechanic that determines when tokens are removed from the board.
Players score 1 point per mushroom token on the board, 2 points per Fairy Ring space, and 3 points per colony.
The game ends if:
- Any player runs out of mushroom tokens
- Any player cannot place a token in two consecutive turns
- All players cannot place a token in consecutive turns
The player with the most points at the end of the game wins!
