Opis w języku angielskim: Grand Tourney is a worker placement game exploring a piece of the Soulshards universe in which each player controls a character that has been invited to participate in a grand battle tournament. The tournament is held in the world-renowned arena located in the city of Enviro within the Keridwyn Empire. Players have 2 weeks to train, learn abilities, recruit allies, shop, and fight to grow stronger in preparation to face off against each other. Each day, player’s characters and hired mercenaries can each perform one action to advance their power. Cards, tokens, and pawns are used to represent your character and their acquisitions. Cards in zones must be kept in the position they are placed. When you acquire a card, place it in front of you. Only you benefit from your card effects. When you recall a pawn, remove that pawn from the game board and place it in front of you. If a card is discarded, place it face-up in a discard pile for its zone. If you need to take a card from an empty deck, shuffle the discard pile to become a new deck. All cards in decks are kept face-down. The deck and discard do not count as cards in the zone. SKILLS Each character has four Skills. Their Tier in the Skill is the number of icons they have of that Skill. Skills determine how many dice you roll and how high opponents must roll to affect you with their Spells and attacks. Might Finesse Charisma Wit ROLLING DICE Most actions and effects require rolling 12-sided dice. When rolling dice for the rules functions, such as checking for monsters escaping or while running a monster, it does not count as your roll and is not modified by your effects. To roll a Skill, roll a number of dice equal to your Skill Tier. Most effects require rolling to meet a Difficulty Level (DL). You must have at least one of your rolled dice be that number or higher or else the effect fails. If an effect grants you a bonus on the roll, treat all dice in the roll as higher by that amount, while effects that penalize your roll reduce the value of each dice. You may recruit mercenaries during the game. After any roll for a character pawn, if you have mercenaries in the same zone, you may recall any number of them to grant +1 on the roll for each that you reaoll. If multiple players have mercenaries, that go in turn order to decide this. SOULS Souls are the currency used in the Keridwyn Empire. You start the game with 6 Souls and can gain more based on your actions. You cannot use an effect if you will be unable to pay the cost. Track the number of Souls you have using the Soul track on your character card. GEAR You can purchase Gear during the game. Gear is only effective during a fight. Worn Gear is always in effect while other Gear must be used as an action. You cannot benefit from more than 1 Gear. If you have more than 1 , choose which one you are wearing at the start of each day. ABILITIES You can learn abilities during the game. Abilities are either Aspects or Spells . Aspects always apply any time they are relevant while spells must be used during a fight. MONSTERS You can fight monsters to obtain their Arena card. Their effects always apply any time they are relevant. Each monster has a Rank from 1 through 6 shown on the card. The higher the rank, the stronger the monster. FAME As you fight, you earn notoriety within the city. Track your Fame using the Fame track of your Character card. Fame allows you to hire mercenaries and go faster in combat. You can spend 2 Fame to reroll 1 dice that was just rolled, excluding dice rolled for mercenaries or as part of a fight you are not in. Each dice can only be affected by Fame once. After you roll, in turn order, other players may use their Fame to reroll 1 of your dice first; then you may use your Fame. Each player continues to take turns to reroll until all players pass their turn in sequence. —description from the designer
