Did you know that a group of sharks is called a Shiver? Shiver of Sharks is a simple DeckBuilding game designed thematically around sharks. You will entice sharks to join your Shiver, making a larger deck as you play, which will help entice or scavenge larger sharks as the game progresses.
Players start with a deck of 8 sharks and draw 4 each turn.
In the middle of the table is a collection of 9 other sharks called the Pool.
On a players turn, they will play sharks from their hand to gain Bite Power. This power will be used to either Entice sharks into your deck, or Scavenge sharks to gain an immediate effect. Each shark in the pool can either be Enticed or Scavenged, the player gets to chose which action they take. Along the way players will collect shark Teeth by either playing sharks from the deck, or Scavenging them from the Pool.
When a shark is Enticed from the Pool, it is placed into that players discard pile. Then the shark that was Enticed is immediately replaced with a shark from the Pool Deck.
When a shark is Scavenged from the Pool, the player gains a Scavenge reward, and the shark is immediate replaced with a piece of Chum. Sometimes Chum will affect the cost of the sharks around it. When Chum is Scavenged, it is replaced with another shark from the Pool Deck. The game ends when all of the Chum has been eaten.
