Rescate en Sherwood ("Rescue in Sherwood") is a cooperative family board game designed for 2 to 4 players, ages 5 and up, with an approximate duration of 45 minutes.
Story and Objective
The Sheriff of Nottingham has kidnapped Lady Marian and locked her in a cell deep within Sherwood Forest. Players take on the roles of Robin Hood and his friends (Little John, Friar Tuck, and Azeem Bashir) with the goal of finding their lost weapons, obtaining the Master Key, and defeating the Sheriff to rescue her.
Main Mechanics
Cooperation: Players win or lose as a team. The game is lost if any hero runs out of life points or if it becomes impossible to complete the rescue.
Exploration: The board consists of 16 forest tiles arranged in a 4x4 grid. Players must move along the paths and uncover "enigma tokens" to find items, food, or allies while avoiding the guards.
Actions per Turn: Each player has 2 actions per turn, which can include moving (up to 5 spaces), flipping a token, using the hawk to explore, trading items, or attacking the Sheriff.
Combat: Six-sided dice are used to resolve encounters with guards and the Sheriff. Heroes can improve their attack by finding weapons or with the help of Villager archers.
Inventory Management: Each character has a player sheet with a health track and space for two items in their inventory.
