Razzle Royale is a fast-paced card game about outsmarting your opponents.
Each player starts with an identical deck and a banner. After shuffling their deck, players reveal the top card and place it in the center as the first score cards. The player whose banner has the lowest letter takes the red banner and becomes the starting player.
At the beginning of each round, all players simultaneously draw two cards from their decks. They place one card face down in front of them as their fighter and return the other card either to the top or the bottom of their deck.
Then, going clockwise starting with the first player, each player chooses one of the following actions: claim an available score card or challenge another player's claim. During a challenge, both players secretly reveal the strength of their fighters. The fighter with the lower value adds the value of the highest unclaimed score card to its own strength. The player with the higher resulting value wins the challenge and takes the contested score card. In the event of a tie, the challenger steals the score card.
After the round ends, all unclaimed score cards are discarded. The fighters played during the round are moved to the center and become the new score cards for the next round. Successfully claimed score cards are placed face up behind a player's deck, slightly offset so that all players can see them. The red banner is passed clockwise, and that player starts the next round.
If you successfully claim a score card in the final round, you also add your fighter to your scoring pile. Once all cards in the deck have been played, the player with the highest total score wins the game.
Each deck contains the numbers 1–13 and one Angel card. The Angel defeats any unit with a two-digit value, including units boosted by the highest center score card, but loses against any single-digit unit. Each player also has a one-time-use banner ability that allows them to swap fighters with either the attacking or defending opponent before revealing their opponent's fighter.
Simple to learn, quick to play, and packed with tense decisions, Razzle Royale rewards players who can read their opponents, manage their resources, and know exactly when to call a bluff.
