Feljong

Feljong is a standalone game created with the aim of teaching the basic fundamentals of Riichi Mahjong over several complexity levels, but using a deck of cards with the same configuration as a set of Riichi Mahjong tiles.
The standart game has 4 levels and you can proceed to the next level or stay in the current level when you feel comfortable to add more rules (usually adding more Yakus - ways of getting points in the game). The game also comes with advanced rules of the japanese mahjong and with the components of the game you cam also play Riichi Mahjong, but with cards instead of the standart tiles.

Following the same idea as Riichi Mahjong, in each round, 4 players are trying to win by forming a valid hand with at least a Yaku (a way of getting points). These winning hands usually have 4 groups of 3 cards (sequences or triplets) and a pair, but you only have 13 cards in your hand, so you will need to use an extra carta discarded by a player or a cart drawn from the deck in order to win.
On your turn you simply draw a card and discard a card, bur there are some ways you can use the discard from other players to play groups in front of you, or you can choose to stay with your hand fully closed until it's time to win.
Whoever manages to win a round receives points from the other players, either from everyone if he win using a card from the deck, or just from the player who discarted the card you needed.
