A new generation of llagareros (cider makers) is setting out to launch their own businesses, following the traditional method of producing Asturian cider. They will all compete to earn their place in the challenging cider market—an industry centered around one of the most iconic drinks of the Principality.
Starting with a tight budget they must manage wisely, players will need to hire staff, improve their modest facilities, and rent services to ensure they produce the best cider possible by springtime.
During your turn, you will place your workers on actions, which will vary depending on the season of the year. These actions allow you to produce and sell cider, host folk festivals, hire staff or upgrade your cider factory with improvements such as more apple trees to enhance your harvest, presses, or corking machines.
From picking the apples at harvest time to racking and storing them in barrels, every step of the way requires careful planning. Players will also be able to decide the type of cider they want to produce and which customers they will supply it to, balancing quality, time, and available resources.
Over the years, if the harvests are favorable and they carefully manage both apple selection and cider production, they will be able to create authentic Asturian cider—the most highly valued on the market.
In this resource management game, players compete over five rounds to maximize the profitability of their cider production facilities and fulfill as many orders as possible. The main way to earn victory points is by selling cider of different varieties, either through supply contracts or directly to restaurants. At the end of the game, the player who has accumulated the most points is declared the winner.
