Welcome to Dusk Runners, a cooperative roguelike deckbuilder, set in a torn apart world of years long days and nights ruled by death.
Take up the role of Dusk Runners, survivors and explorers who stay a few steps ahead of the night. Gather forgotten technologies so powerful they look like magic, battle monsters in the night to get stronger, make allies or enemies of survivor factions and learn ancient secrets in order to defeat the ultimate threat of the darkness: the Nightstalker.
Playtime: 45 min / player (average 2 hours) | Players: 1-4, built-in solo mode
- In Dusk Runners your ultimate goal is to defeat the Nightstalker, the monster of the night that hunts your group. You'll travel from Zone to Zone, each time setting up a different part of the sprawling map of the semi-open world.
- When you are in a Zone, your goal is to gather as many resources and powerful artifacts as you can, while you make allies (or enemies!) with factions, battle monsters and eventually, when the darkness of the night catches up with you, find a way to escape the Nightstalker.
- Play the game in Turns, where each turn Players must explore Locations, reveal Secret cards hidden under them or fight with enemies. Challenges are faced with your unique deck of at least 14 cards. At each Test you must draw cards with enough resources on them to succeed.
- You can play your cards during a Test to build deadly and amazing combos and utilize secrets and artifacts you gathered to boost your chances and combat power.
- Once out of cards, you must Rest. But with each Rest, the darkness comes closer and you must draw Darkness cards. Eventually, you’ll stumble into the Nightstalker and must flee… Unless you are strong and prepared enough to finally face it and win the campaign.
