Saddle up for DIGGING BANDITS, a competitive Wild West board game of treasure hunting and treachery. An ancient map whispers of a golden fortune buried deep beneath the shifting sands, but you ain’t the only bandit listening! Expect direct conflict and strategic card play: block paths, steal loot, and collect WANTED posters to eliminate the competition. Will your mix of luck and cunning lead you to find the GOLD and cash it in first, or will you outlast your rivals to be the last bandit standing? Only the desert knows!
Players move clockwise around the game board by rolling two dice. The digging mechanic is central to the game, with players using Dig cards to uncover layers of land, seeking valuable items like gold and WANTED posters while avoiding hazards such as dynamite. The game also includes a rich layer of strategy, with Draw cards that allow players to hinder each other, build and destroy bridges, or steal items, creating an intense, ever-shifting battle for victory. Special "db Doodad" power-up cards give players game-changing boosts, while bluffing, alliances, and out-of-sequence card play add psychological and social elements to the experience.
The game is designed for 2-4 players, ages 10 and up, with an average playtime of 30-60 minutes. It includes both competitive and cooperative play modes, with a 2v2 team variant and a quick-play option for shorter sessions.
