''For you see, "The Murk" and its reality-distorting presence will never stop chasing them. It is an encroaching wave of Shadow that corrupts everything in its path. When distant drums begin to pound, and the earth itself bleeds an oily ichor--you know The Darkness isn't far behind.

Darkwise is an apocalyptic horror skirmish game that pits warbands of bounty hunters, cyborgs, monstrous beasts, and other horrible denizens against one another to survive their world's inevitable doom.

A focused Campaign system allows warbands to persist and improve (or die) between missions. Use your influence to gather new weapons and gear; train your followers and grant them rare Traits; and roll to see if they are forever maimed by their violent struggle.

- Build a warband of followers from one of 5 unique factions, each with their own specialties, armaments, and playstyles.
- Investigate mysterious, random events on the battlefield and reveal that which was once concealed by Darkness.
- Over 50 pieces of equipment and odd artifacts to bestow upon your haggard warriors.
- Every Scenario is a race against time. The Murk creeps ever forward, and those who bask too long in its delirious Shadow become undone by it.

What You Need

- 4-8 Miniatures that represent your warband
- Percentile dice or 2d10
- A 3x3’ area for 2 or 3 players; or a 4x4’ area for 4 players
- A deck of standard playing cards
- Tokens or dice to mark Action Points, Wounds, Discoveries, etc.
- Pen & paper to record your warband roster & character changes
- Appropriate tabletop terrain features for each scenario.
