Two games for two players, inspired by the Chettinadu region of South India.
The first game, "Chessinad" is inspired by Chettinad floor tiles. It takes under 1 minute to learn. Players compete in a tug of war. "Tug" the horse to your side by completing patterns. Complete more patterns to "tug" more spots. If you manage to reach the end, it's an instant victory! If not, wait till the board is filled with tiles, and whoever has the horse on their side wins.
The second game, "Trade-ition" takes place in a typical Chettinad village. There are 6 tasks to be completed around the village - such as building Mansions, selling tiles to the Antique Market, buying out everything at the Wood Works or the Potter, and donating 3 terracotta horses to the village temple. All of these tasks are inspired by cultural aspects of the region, visible even today.
The aim of the game is to finish any two of the six tasks. The twist? The winner is the one who completes the second task! A game where having money is very important, but not the end goal.
