In Beat the Band, players take on the role of music label producers competing to build the most successful festival lineups.
Over three festival seasons, they assign musicians to festivals, trying to match genres and performer skills to audience expectations. The better a band fits a festival’s requirements, the more buzz it generates and the more fame points its producer earns.
In this fierce competition multiple producers may target the same festival, forcing players to balance immediate rewards against future opportunities. Unattended festivals accumulate additional rewards, creating new strategic decisions about timing and commitment.
After three seasons, the producer with the most fame points becomes the leader of the music industry. In the two-player Producer Showdown mode, players compete directly to win festival posters and prove who is the superior talent manager.
